Unique Location

Our location on Indian Point gives you many advantages.  

  • Lake views in two directions. 

  • Watch the sunset from your cabin and the sunrise or sunset from our dock.

  • Walk or swim to the best place to swim on Big Chetac Lake, the famous Sand Bar, just 100 yards from our dock.

  • When the prevailing Southwest winds blow hard and the lake is rough, we and the shore to our east are sheltered by the point so you can enjoy a quiet and safe paddle to Biology Bay in a canoe or kayak.

  • We're on the quiet side of the lake, far from any busy roads. 

  • The lagoon on our west side is the only one like it on the lake. It hosts hundreds of frogs who treat us to the best frog chorus you'll ever hear. Come in May or June to hear them at their best. 

Unique Amenities

  • Need something to read? Choose from the hundreds of books in our library.  

  • Want to do a puzzle. We have lots of them in the library. 

  • Want some exercise or a fun way to explore the lake's less accessible areas? A canoe is available for your use. 

  • We have a special dock for launching canoes. 

  • Enjoy our large "Deck on the Dock" to sit and relax, fish, read, or watch the sunset across the lake. 

  • Every cabin has its own Weber grill. 

Unique Size

We have only four cabins to rent. Our family occupies the other one. So there are no crowds here. 

 

Small means unique opportunities. Where else could your family have a whole resort to themselves by renting just four cabins? 

 

Small means quiet. Enjoy with us the lack of everything we don't have: a bar, a restaurant, a campground and all their associated crowds and noise. We're uncrowded and quiet and we love it.

Every one of our cabins has a beautiful lake view. 

 

Our cabins are spaced far enough apart that you have all the privacy you want, but close enough for families to enjoy more than one cabin together. There's plenty of space to play games in the center. So feel free to bring your favorite lawn game.  

And all the normal stuff too

  • Free dock space for one boat when you rent a cabin.  

  • A 14' aluminum fishing boat comes with your cabin rental if you don't bring your own boat.  

  • A fishhouse (new in 2017) to clean your fish and free extra freezer space to keep them. 

  • A common shower room in case your family dominates the one in your cabin. 

  • A common bathroom too, in case the one in your cabin is busy. 

  • We provide linens. You just bring the kitchen and bath towels. 

  • Cable TV, HD TVs, strong WiFi signal right in your cabin.

  • Gas or electric heat in each cabin. 

  • A/C in all cabins. 

  • Each cabin comes fully equipped for cooking. Just bring your food.

  • Full-size refrigerators. 

  • Gas or electric stoves. 

  • Dishwashers in Birch, Maple, and Oak Cabins.
