Sycamore Lodge
Cabin No. 6

Sycamore Lodge is Nystrom’s Resort’s premier year-round lodge, thoughtfully designed for families, ministry groups, extended families, and guests looking for space to gather, reconnect, and enjoy the quiet beauty of Big Chetac Lake.

This Amish-built log lodge features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a loft (with a separate 4th sleeping area), and a walk-out lower level, offering plenty of room to spread out while still enjoying time together. The lodge was designed with families in mind and includes toys, games, puzzles, and books for guests of all ages.

Located in the most quiet corner of the resort, Sycamore offers a more private setting while still giving guests access to everything Nystrom’s Resort has to offer. Large west-facing windows, an open patio, screened porch, and (in 2027) a private dock provide beautiful views of Big Chetac Lake and spectacular evening sunsets.

The walk-out lower level includes a large gathering room designed to accommodate larger groups, making Sycamore especially well suited for extended families, retreats, church groups, or groups renting multiple cabins at the resort. A second full kitchen downstairs adds additional convenience for shared meals and gatherings.

Accessibility was also considered in the design. A removable ramp can be placed over the front steps to provide easier wheelchair access to the main floor, deck, and screened porch.

Unlike the seasonal cabins at Nystrom’s Resort, Sycamore is a four-season lodge and is available throughout the fall, winter, and spring. Large south-facing windows bring in natural light and warmth, making it a comfortable retreat throughout the year.

Sycamore Lodge combines rustic Northwoods character with generous living space, privacy, lake access, and thoughtful amenities, creating a peaceful setting for families and groups to relax, gather, and make meaningful memories together.

Sycamore Lodge's main floor and loft are already available. By spring 2027, the walkout lower level will be ready for guests.
